Sarahlou, how strange! We just got an email this morning saying that we had to settle final bill/get refund in person, or send someone with a proxy. We applied and received the bill through the online process.
Anyway, DEWA have responded to me on twitter and confirmed that Head Office (Wafi), Al Wasl, Burj Nahar and Discovery Gardens are open 8.30am/3pm this Saturday.

Does anyone know if the DEWA offices are open on Saturday, or closed for the holiday.
I've called but can't get past their telephone system to speak to someone and have also tweeted.
We need to pay a final bill and it's the only day my husband (account holder) is in town.

You can do it online and they will credit your bank account with the refund of the deposit ( minus the final bill cost)
