I need to go to the Knowledge Village Medical Center to do my medical this week and all I can get from searching online is that it is located in Block 12. I don't drive and will be coming from JBR via cab (it doesn't seem to be near a metro stop?) Can someone please help me out with any nearby landmarks etc that I can look for to guide the cab driver since I am assuming they won't know where this is. Thanks!

I can't be 100% sure as the last time I was there was 3.5 years ago, however there are a lot worse places you could go with 3 little ones. I am sure you will be fine, this country has to realise not everybody has a nanny/maid/cleaner that people can just dump their kids on!

Thanks. I feel so much better knowing where I am going. On a related note, does anyone know how much of a nightmare it would be if I had to bring my kids with me? They are 2 ,4 and 6 and I really don't have anyone to leave them with. I homeschool so I can't do it when they are in school,lol. If bringing them with isn't a possibility I guess I could go first thing in the morning and see if DH could go in a little late. Thanks again!

You actually want to go to Block 11, when you enter Knowledge Village you will come to a round about, turn right, at the of road, at next r/a do a UTurn and it is the first block on your now right hand side. Go up the stairs and the Tulip Hotel is right in front of you, go into the hotel and the hospital is on your right.

The cab driver should know where Knowledge Village is - it is a pretty well-known landmark on its own. Its located on Al Soufouh road and if you're coming from JBR on al Soufouh it's just past where Dubai Pearl is currently being constructed. The Medical Centre is close to the Welcare Hospital, so if you ask the cab driver to drop you off in front of the entrance (its also the entrance of the Tulip Hotel - I think that's what it's called). The Medical Centre is just before the entrance to the hotel and hospital, on your left. When in doubt, just ask at hotel reception or at Welcare hospital. Thank you! I was guessing they would be able to get me to Knowledge Village, though I don't assume anything anymore ever since I got in a cab where the driver had never heard of JBR or The Walk :\: Thanks again, I will look for the Welcare Hospital and am sure I will be able to find the clinic from there!
