Hello,
We would like to draw up a will that is valid here in the UAE as we have just bought our house and have a baby now and we want to make sure that everything is in place should anything happen to one or both of us. Can anyone recommend a company who can draw up a will for us that is Sharia compliant? There seems to be quite a lot out there and I prefer to use one that is recommended.

Thanks ladies.

We also saw Nita Maru at the Wills Specialists. She was fantastic and explained everything, including the need to appoint a temporary guardian for children here in Dubai in the event of both parents dying - also the need to be registered with the British Embassy here. (Did feel a bit daft not knowing this, but we were never told!) We have wills in UK but my understanding is that they wouldnt be recognised here. Our visit to Nita was quite an eye opener!!!

What am I missing? After listening to just wills video why do u need to update overseas wills to reflect sharia law? Dont you just need a registered will somewhere in the world? Still confused.

great video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHerf7E4ISw Just Wills explaining a lot! I am meeting with them next week to get our will sorted out... they priced it at about 5000 aed for mirror wills, power of attorney and all notory fees. I will know more next week. Can anyone tell me if this is a good price or a rip off? thx! edited by Wendopia on 21/05/2012

Hey, Pretty new to this site however I just came across this thread....I was recently referred by HSBC bank to Nita Maru of The Wills Specialists Law Firm...she is a British Qualified lawyer. I have to say she was excellent, very through and on the ball. I have since referred her to friends and colleagues who have thanked me for the introduction. I feel like a weight has been lifted now my will is in place. I would highly recommend Nita..you can contact her at [email protected] tel 044484284

Can I please hijack this thread just to ask a quick and probably silly question. I presume that my other half and I will have to make new wills out there, in addition to our UK ones? Yes you will need to have them updated to reflect Sharia Law - speak to Karen and she can tell you what is required.

Hi there, I know Jim Berry's law office has an amazing woman there who can do the shari'aa compliant will. Other lawyers also recommend her since this is her speciality. Here is the number: 04 331 7552
