Hi everyone!
I am new to this forum but it seems people are very helpful. I am looking for a french speaking nanny/housekeeper to start in September. I am desperate as most agencies here only deal with asia. Do you have any idea what I can do? Relevant countries would be mainly in Africa. Visa is not a problem as I know someone in immigration that could get me sponsorship for any nationality. Your help is highly appreciated! Thanks

I was looking for one too a few months back... however, after evaluating the pros and the cons, I came to a conclusion that the chance of absconbing, parties, bad performance, etc, etc.... would be higher than with others from a non french speaking country. Anyway, this is just my opinion.

Just sharing my experience here : You might have a problem to have one, as there is certain nationalities accepted to be housekeepers, and north africans french speaking (Marrocan, Algerian, Tunisian) are not part of it. We had a Marrocan cook, and we managed to have her, as we specified she was a cook, and more around 50yo. In any case, the authorities will put problems on any one less than 30yo. Your company can be able to register any nationality, nevertheless, they are specific nationalities accepted by the government as people working in houses, and Marocan, Tunisian, etc... are not part of it.
