Brunch can sometimes be stressful for mums with babies. I always find that brunches are expensive and that when DD was that age I never really got value for money as I was feeding, changing, walking with the pram and never got to enjoy the brunch. I think kiwispiers has the right idea asking your frind what the LO's routine is.
I think is someone had asked me what would be a lovely afternoon when my LO was that age I would have said going for a walk round madinat/JBR/Marina/Dubai Mall around the time that baby was due a sleep and when she went for a snooze nipping into the closest restaurant/bar and enjoying some food and drink while baby was sleeping :)
Beachcombers restaurant is kid friendly environment with great Burj al Arab views and ocean in front of it. You can also have a drink there. The baby will most probably just be sleeping in his stroller at that age.
Best thing you can do to make sure your friend has a good time is check in advance with her as to her baby's sleep schedule.
Some mums are very strict about staying home for scheduled nap times and may end up with screaming messes and bit up half the night if they try and take baby out and about when she should be sleeping, other babies are used to napping in their prams etc. Trying to work with your friend's schedule will take the pressure off her so she doesn't feel like a party pooper.
Ladies, need some advice on what to do with my friend who is coming over with her fiance and bringing her 8 month old baby.
My husband is taking the fiance and the boys all to the Rugby 7's, so thats a messy day for them.
What could the girls do, where we can have a little drink too?
Any decent brunch's where there are young babies?
Any other ideas would be nice too.
