Yes - maybe a hose leak or the hose is not connected properly to the cooker/you have a faulty gas cooker - I was reading on the web that you can make a soap solution with a little washing up liquid/water in a spray bottle and spray the hose/gas fittings with that - any leak will show up with escaping bubbles....just a thought - one that I would leave to the gas man to investigate! - I would get him out to check where the leak is asap....if he can't find the fault, you need to contact the company who sold you the cooker... edited by chizz on 17/07/2011

I don't think its coming from the bottle, I think its coming from the cooker itself. The gas bottles are outside the kitchen with a hose fed through the wall.

if you call 0503789814 they deliver gas. Maybe you can ask them to check it, if they can't, buy another bottle, they're not expensive! Stay safe!

I have a Smeg gas cooker and it is leaking gas. I can smell it the most in the morning. My DH changed the hose, regulator & something else and now its really bad!! - We have turned it all off as I am very scared of gas. Please can someone tell me who to call to check it and fix it ASAP. Thanks.
