We have been told there are places for our 2 children (6&8) at both these schools starting Sept. Any thoughts/opinions on one over the other? We are not even in Dubai yet so have no idea (only found out a week ago that we'd be moving out there). Would really appreciate any thoughts you have.

didnt realise the OP will be living in DSO? If thats the case then offcourse the DSO school is a better option, I wouldnt want to live in DSO and drive to RDS every day, although I know many RDS parents who do. <em>edited by Purple on 11/07/2011</em>

Thanks-any reason why? Yes i think it will be the better school, i doubt there will be teething problems at all and it will be in the childrens best interest to go to one school and stay rather than moving after a year or so, expecially considering they are relocating as well. Socially if you live in DSO it will be far better for them re peer and friendship groups, better for you as you will meet other mums who can help out should you need. The children can walk to school in winter and with two different age groups picking up at pick up times will be easier without having to trawl down EK road 4 times a day! Seriously, a no brainer.

I'm staying in DSO, but registered my DD in RDS for next year. maybe next year after hearing positive feedback I would shift her....for time being, everybody seems happy with RDS

I would probably pick RDS this year but Gems Silicome Oasis next year, why? RDS is more established, DSO will be opening for the first time ever in September, although they have alot of highly qualified staff going there etc it would worry me incase of teething problems.

If you're going to be living in Silicon Oasis, your best option would be the one in DSO. If you plan to live in Mirdif, then go for RDS.
