Can anyone recommend a good hairdresser in Dubai where you can park easily. Want a good salon that will recommend the best cut for me, and also good at colouring (blond). Not too pricey either and not high rise, don't do lifts!

Had a look at the website - and found a map. Click on front desk and then you will find a link to location. HTH. edited by jillp on 04/09/2011

Barmarmy i have been going to Maria Dowling for the past 12 years, she is undoubtedly the Queen of colour, i have been stopped in London, and LA to ask where i have my hair done. I am literally asked for the number of my hairdresser every time i have my hair coloured i to am blond. Maria really is the expert when it comes to colour http://mariadowling.com/ 04 345 4225 Where is her salon based? There is nothing on the website, that i can see?

I recently went to the Robert Alexander Salon in the Media Rotana Hotel. I read excellent comments about this salon on Facebook. I dont know ladies, have our standards declined because we are living in Dubai. But in all my years of visiting hair salons around the world this was a real nightmare of an experience. Firstly, it was like being at a rave party, not that Ive been to one recently. But the stylists seem to be enjoying the music more than what they were actually suppose to be doing. The hair I saw when finished was just plain bad including my own. I could have done it better myself. I guess this explains why they only charge Dhs 90 for a blowdry.

Christophe Nicolas Biot Salon is excellent, easy parking and on the ground floor in the Qamardeen district, Old Town. Great colour, cut everything was extremely happy and all the ladies I saw walking out had fantastic hair. They seemed to be British stylist. And there is a voucher fo harcut in the Body book :). Is he any good with curly hair? TIA

Rebecca at Hairworks Spinneys On Al Wasl road is fantastic with blondes. I had a huge disaster with a Hotel Hairdresser here and she fixed my tangerine colour to platinum blonde. Really excellent and listens to what you actually want. Tel:04394077. Parking not an issue and on the ground floor. HTH ACB
