Just call up to the EK customer service after the baby born. I went back to my home country to deliver my DS and add his name to my ticket before my return flight to Dubai, I only paid 10% of my original fare.

I've had this situation before but with a different airline. I booked my daughter in as Infant (surname) and gave her expected due date. I then had to confirm with them all the details on her actual arrival so that they had the details for their records. As baby does not have their own seat its a mere formality. Good luck

From my previous experience EK customer service would usually ask for the DOB to book the flight for an infant. Maybe you can try giving the birth year only and of course the name. You will have to call EK in this case. <em>edited by white_lady on 31/01/2012</em>
