Unfortunately the irresponsible pet owners are in other area's too. Stopped walking around our lake/pond in the ranches as the dog pooh became too much on the path.. And the stench became un-bearable.

Got in the lift yesterday and there was dog poo in it....Grrrrr.... If people want to have dogs, they should rent a villa, not an apartment! Apologies to all responsible dog owners....

Yes, you can take your dog to Jebil Ali Beach. It's not allowed but the police don't seem to mind if the dog is on a lead. Locals take their dogs there too. Please keep your dog on a lead though cos it only takes one incident for the police to start enforcing the law. And then there'll be no dog beach :0(

Yes I knew how hot it was before I brought my dog, I sought out (as is the OP) places where I could take her where she could "frolic" but not overheat. I also had plans for day to day (not sure about OP). To the OP, can you get a child's pool, fill it with water (and maybe some ice in hotter temps) to help puppy? It's not easy here - but it can be done if you persevere. Thank You!!

Dogs can have a really good life here in Dubai even if you don't take them to the beach, compared with many, many other countries.

Of course I knew about the weather we would rather bring her with us no matter where we go rather than abandon her like a lot of people do when we got a dog we took that commitment. I have had bulldogs in my family since a child this was my personal choice. There is also indoor facilities now available in Dubai for the summer months which I plan on using she will then and is now well taken care of. I grew up close to a beach and our bullies loved the beach.

I have an english bulldog and it would be great for her to stay cool on the beach as the water is still cool at the moment as a breed they can overheat so I am very limited to where I can take her the desert is not an option for me. I had heard that at one stage there were dogs being allowed on Jebel Ali but I don't want to risk it without getting some up to date information. I also seen a dog on JBR beach this week and it wasn't the first time. really don't mean to sound harsh but why on earth did you bring her out here then? Just cruel as it's so hot here.

Dubai is an absolute nono, even early in the morning. We take ours out to Ajman and Um AlQuwain, as there are some nice quiet beaches with noone around at all and the dogs can run and swim to their hearts content.
