We have a driver but I only ever let him take me and the kids anywhere when he is picking us up from the airport....I drive him mental......always nagging him. His driving is good but soooo sloooow... DH uses him to run errands for him, I am fortunate that I can get myself around, but Amy, don't worry, these things happen and it could be a freak thing. You can't really shout out STOP as he is rolling through a junction...or you will cause a pile up!

True - I just get frustrated thinking I could have said 'no, stop, it's red!' But I really couldn't have seen otherwise to know and feel like it's a situation where a maid throws a red pair of undies into the white kandora wash and you say 'why didn't you check?' Why didn't [u'>[b'>I[/b'>[/u'> check to make sure my red undies weren't thrown into the pile of white kandoras? I hate not being responsible for things! Miss Independent who has to depend... Uff... Lol, yes I know what you mean, but if you think about it, you may have caused more issues if you screamed STOP RED! As he may have panicked, slammed on his breaks and then caused an accident... Not much you can do (unless you're behind the wheel) once you're in the car, all you can do is before you are in the car make sure he knows how you want him to drive, and keep an eye on how comfortable you are, if ever you start feeling unsafe, change drivers.

Even if you're watching the road [which will be hard with impaired vision'>, at Dubai speeds, it will be difficult for you to instruct the driver. You've chosen the driver well by hiring someone who has no previous record of driving misdemeanor. Now you just need to sit with him and use the RTA brochure to explain the various traffic offences and how they will result in a monetary fine for you and black points for him [gently let him know that these are saved in records and will effect his future employment'>.

To be honest, there's not much you can do when watching the road anyway, when someone else is driving you can't really be in control especially if your vision isn't up to scratch.
