.. if anyone here began their Master's degree without a Bachelor's degree. Maybe diplomas, some courses and life experience helped.

When arranging different jobs, licences, business registrations, visas, etc in different countries, many times I had to show my BA, the Masters is not enough by itself. But again, may be the nature of my field. Just an idea: why do not you try to transfer your credits to an other university, maybe that would help finishing it?

Thanks for replying. It's my life's dilemma that something goes wrong whenever I try to finish my Bachelor's. Any other course & I'm fine. If this is an option, I would go for it (even if it's expensive.) There's a lot I want to do & completing my studies tops the list :) Have been trying for 14 years now

Depends on what you want to do a Masters in. For an MBA for example (just looked into this for hubby), Manchester Business School will take you with just life/business experience for their executive programme. as will several other unis, but as someone posted before, a lot of these qualifications won't stand up to scrutiny outside of Dubai. For other Masters courses, even if the prospectus says you need a degree, if you are interested just check with the admissions tutor, as you may just need to do a short bridging course if your experience is enough.

Not me personally, but I know someone who only had a teaching diploma who subsequently did her M.Litt but I think she did some 'bridging' units in undergraduate courses to qualify. I know she never had a BA or anything though. This was in the early '90s btw. ETA: M.Litt -- Master of Letters. :) edited by WaxMuch on 19/03/2011
