I've done day 5 level 1....dreading level 2! Have come to the stage where I know the moves and how long each one will take so I just stick my ipod in my ears to motivate me more and watch the DVD without listening to it. Have also started following Natalie for some moves instead of Anita which is a good sign I think :D Still **** at push ups though! Well done for the compliments BJones! I can't wait to start receiving them myself hehe!

Day 4 level 1 is done! i find it easier now, first 3 days were really tough, especially on the arms. met a friend yesterday and first thing she asked was if i lost some weight and said i was looking different. Not sure if its the work out or its been too long since i saw her last:))) Feeling very good about myself tho..... thanks Cyclone T :)

This thread is awfully quiet and I know there are plenty of ladies with dvd's. What's happening people?

Woke up an hour ago (had a reeeeallly late night) and I feel so mashed!!! Trying to force myself to workout.... wearing the clothes, got the mat and weights ready but instead of actually doing it, have been giving it dirty looks :(

Day 12 done. I found Day 2 of Level 2 much harder than Day 1. Instead of putting liniment of my calves like I did in Level 1 it will be going on my shoulders in Level 2 :( Eek, not what I want to hear CT!! Finally did Day 11, geez she's got this thing sussed, I thought I was getting pretty good on Level 1 but now this is really something! And apparently that's better for you, mixing it up, so I'm thrilled. Aching but thrilled. Good news is for Level 1 I lost 2.3kgs, and that's with visitors, party prep and the actual day. So I'm hoping Level 2 results can be even better!

Day 13 and my shoulder are aching. :( It proves how weak my upper body is and why I am doing this.

Find [u'>reasons[/u'> why you can instead of [u'>excuses [/u'>why you can't. Find [u'>reasons[/u'> why you will instead of [u'>excuses[/u'> why you won't. You can do it mimi :) You know what Cyclone T, you are so right! I can and I just did. Thank you for the kick up the butt I needed. Forgot how hard those static lunges are but feel great after it. Have a great weekend everyone :)

I'm joining you, I'm on the day 3 level one, and I hurt everywhere, but I feel so good after doing it. I do it every morning after droping the kids at school. To keep me motivated I took pic of myself in underwear and will be doing so every 10 days when I go to the next level, and I also took my measurements in case I don't see it on the pics. Right now I gained 1,5 kg, but as muscles are much heavier than fat I am not worried, and I've been doing a journal of what I eat, so it keeps me off junk food as I don't want to write it down lol. Next summer I want to go back home and show a flat tummy :) edited by alexbraz on 13/01/2011

It took me 30 mins to locate my mislaid Shred dvd, does that count for day 1?? I wish. Will join all you ladies tomorrow, and really hope I stick to it this time. Have started many times now and never made it 10 days through to start level 2. Shocking:\: I can find a million excuses not to fit it into my day. I used to be quite fit too, sadly no more. Bday in 1 month so hoping to get an LBD on (minus the spanx) to celebrate in style. Incentive enough?? Dear God I hope so;) Well done to all you guys sticking to it, and good luck to any ladies like me just starting.

Day 4 of level 1 done...... It's finally getting easier :) I find doing it first thing in the morning the best otherwise it's like a rain cloud hanging over my head the entire day. And after putting in the effort in the morning you are more likely to make choices that compliment your commitment through out the day :)

well done all the L2 peeps! i missed a day and am now ready to go up to level 2 but am away for th weekend so will do it on Sat pm slowly to see how to do it then again on Sunday first thing and then for the next 10 days. Am finding L1 pretty easy now although am concentrating on getting the form right as you say and am using 2kg weights for the most part but aim to use lighter weights for L2 if I need to. Sadly and unusually for me am looking forward to L2! Happy shredding.

Day 3, Level 1 done. I am still really achey today - especially if I haven't moved from my desk for an hour or so. Think its getting a little easier already though, I find the push-ups the hardest bit - even doing the easy ones....

Keep at it CT - I was quite disheartened when starting L2, but like L1 you will find it gets easier quite quickly. That said I am only three days away from L3 and I am quaking in my boots.

Day six of level 2 done and have definitely turned a fitness corner - can do all the moves barring that foul plank twisty-nightmare at the end. I can't believe I have got to this point after how I started. I love JM. Cyclone I have exactly the same plan as you (do it again in Feb with 2kg weights). Looking forward to the Feb shredthread! edited by frannie on 12/01/2011

Day 10 finished. Level 1 done, bring on Level 2!! Saltire, I would agree. All gyms I've been too have taught to use lighter weights with better form, as opposed to heavier weights and a) potentially injuring yourself, and b) doing it in a manner which doesn't target the correct muscles.

I spoke to a physio would said to start easy as I had not done much with weights previously. So I am using 1kg weights and when I do the second round (yes I am nuts) I am going to up them to 2kg.

I use 2kgs also, fine for Level 1, just a bit difficult on the last strength part, side lunges with foreward lifts. Hanging out for a playdate to end so I can shove kids in front of tv and do Day 10! I prefer to do it in the morning but as I was busy had to leave for the arvo. I always find it harder but am now psyched after reading the thread!

I'm using 2kg on each hand weight and on Day 12, should be day 14 yet missed 2 days along the way. I find the 2kg fine yet on the last excercise on the 2nd program it's quite hard with 2 kg weights. It's a squat with a v shape lift of the arms, it kills me. I feel much better but haven't lost any kg's on the scales unfortunately, in saying that I haven't been dieting either. Good luck!

Day 1 Just finished my work out. It was hard but not as hard as I thought it was going to be. I fairly bounced through the first set of jumping jacks but when it came to the next lot of them I could hardly do them. :D Wasn't sure what size of weights to use so went with 0.5kg each hand. Would like to hear what others use. If I had been doing these exercises of my own accord I know I would have stopped some of them sooner that JM allows. I am really feeling it in my thigh muscles now and so I am off for a well earned relax in the bath. :D 29 days to go. :P

I'm ashamed to admit that this is the third time I've started the shred! Gave up on day 5 the first time...made it to day 7 the second time.... and now I've started again and have just done day 3! And I can't move! The weird thing is, the second time round I did it, nothing hurt and I didn't lose any weight. I think it's because I was using weights that were too light but now I'm using 1kg ones and they're killing me! Must be working...day 3 of Shred, day 10 of diet, and have lost 3.5kgs.... What weights are you all using?

I understand that there are quite a few ladies who have recently received copies ;) It would be great to know what those ladies and the ladies who have posted already think of the program and any improvements noticed so far. Also what are you doing to keep your motivation up and if you have a reward planned when you have achieved all 30 days. I have started Day 1 today thanks to you Cyclone T and didn't think it was too bad. In the end I was pulling myself to finish the jumping jacks. I'm already feeling my legs are sore, so that's a good sign. To keep my motivation up hmm don't know, I'll just keep reading this thread for motivation. My reward is to fit into some skinny jeans and stop hiding under my abaya hehe..
