Leaving Dubai - visa query

My residence visa expires on 3rd September. I'm moving to S-E Asia and leaving Dubai on 6th September. Do you know if I'll have any problems at the airport with an expired visa? I really don't want that to be my last memory of Dubai! I'm sponsored by my husband, but I guess his former employer will cancel his visa before the move?
