im moving into a new apartment without a balcony and cannot buy a seperate condenser dryer. This lg direct drive has both of them. If you have it would you recommend it and does it dry the clothes completely or do i need to hang them out again. Dont have space so was thinking this is a good option if there are good reviews

thanks

I have the LG direct drive 8.0/5 kg and can second amelia's recommendation. I particularly like the fact that the cycle choices are very simple, and there is a quick wash (30 minutes) which I use most of the time. Note that the dryer cycle has a smaller capacity -- so don't fill it up, or it will take forever to dry and will have more wrinkles. Regarding towels, I can wash two large thick bath towels, two face towels, two washcloths and one small bath mat together in one load, but for drying, I split this into two loads. In fact, it has been more efficient for me to use the wash function only first, when that is complete (30 minutes or so) then program the dryer function. I am very pleased with the machine, and have a lot of confidence in the LG brand -- in the past I had a separate LG washer and dryer and they were excellent too. Good choice!

I have had a LG washer/dryer for over three years and not had one bit of trouble with it. It is a fantastic machine. Most of my washing I dry on the balcony, I only use the dryer part for about 20 minutes to 'fluff up' the towels. The instruction book is very brief with it's instructions for using the dryer and I tend to just set it and time it with my kitchen timer. There is no facility to choose your time, it is all pre-set. Any condenser dryer takes a long time, e.g. when I set mine to dry the towels it will say something like three hours !! I'm sure it would dry the clothes completely, it's just the length of time it takes ! If you have room, I would strongly recommend that you buy a separate washing machine and dryer, even stacking one on top of the other. After shopping around at all makes, my DD has just bought a Bompani dryer (ordinary type) from C4 for about 1100 dhs. and it is fantastic. Very large drum and will dry cotton bedding in 30 minutes and towels in 1 hour. If you are unable to vent the dryer, then a condenser type is the answer.
