Just agreeing with the others, it really depends on your medical history and your life cover - the higher value it is the more likely they are to ask. It is pretty easy though, so nothing to worry about. Just make sure you do go ahead with it, it is worth it.
If you are taking a relatively low cover, some insurers do not require a medical. In saying this, these insurers generally do not give the best quotes for life cover. If you would like any more info without posting all of your requirements on here let me know, as I am a broker.
Thank you, gleekfamily - I know it makes sense for the insurance co, but I was hoping to avoid!
My husband's medical was accepted by the life. ins. co., but it was I think less than 3 months old. Hope that helps.
Unless you have done one in a certain time frame before the policy issue then yes you will have to take one. It will depend on the life ins. co. issuing the policy.
Does anyone know if it's possible to get simple, term life insurance for someone in their 40s without having a medical? Nothing to hide at all, just loathe medicals!
Thanks.
PS: Sorry, no idea how to edit the title to put in the question mark...
