Labor contract is part of visa issuing process. Usually as you will submit your papers at DNRD counter, they will ask few details such as salary & print few copies of the standard contract. You would need to have the maid sign it, on spot or come back later. Submit and you are done. During renewal, they may just ask, any changes to contract. And if not, no process required.
Hi EW ladies!
We have agreed to employ a Sri Lankan housemaid but we're not sure who draws up the labour contract as this is our first time getting a helper? I thought it would be done during the visa process, however no matter how many times my husband asks his PRO about how or when we can organise the labour contract, they don't respond. I have searched online and the information is more about the steps in the visa process. Our lady's last visa was cancelled in March by her previous employer so we are effectively doing a 'transfer'.
Can anyone please shed some light on the labour contract subject??
Thank you so much!
