I've found a new product been shown on social media channels called ShopperInput. It says its coming soon. Looks pretty good so far and I think the website is launching soon.
Found these useful links googling about Mystery Shopping in UAE:

Please add your comments about the above companies (be they negative or positive) e.g. if they are slow in payment, scams, report rejections, etc... so others can benefit and do not waste their time and energy.
Above links are only google results. I have not worked if any of the companies above.
But i am planning to start off with Ethos, one step at a time. I have only attended their orientation, they make you sign a confedentiality agreement and keep your passport xerox copy. Also they informed us there, that if we are working with them, simultanously we can work with other Mystry shopping companies too, no issues with that.
Mystery shopping is not meant to replace full-time income. It's ideally for people who have an interest in customer service and wish to earn a few Dirhams at the same time.
Many organisations in the UAE are unaware of the value of an independent evaluation of their service and prefer to set up their own internal audit department. As the retail market in particular is fairly immature in this respect, it's very difficult to command a reasonable fee for the service. This results in a fairly low amount going back to the Shopper.
Do some research on the Company you are signing up with (and that doesn't mean just from expatwoman forums). They look for all types of different shoppers and it's important for them to know as much as they can about you because every product and service has a different "typical" customer.
I have tried many mystery shopping companies and the best ones are always the ones that keep in touch with me in a professional and consistent manner. Use it for what suits you best and have fun doing it. :)
I can comment on Ethos. They do take a long time to pay up - months and I think that I'm not getting paid for a couple of jobs. I need to call them to find out. Some of the retail and restaurant jobs are nice, but as others have mentioned, the reports must be very detailed. The best thing to do is to go for a coffee and start your report right away if you're in a mall or similar.
You will not make more than about 1500 dirhams per month unless you do loads of jobs. This is difficult to do because of the time for the reports. It helps to have a car beacuse you could be going to random places. If you don't have a car and live near the Metro line, the Metro is pretty cheap, so that might work.
Someone asked about nationality - they don't require specific passports. I think you're asking about cultural background. Most western countries have people of many different cultural and racial backgrounds. I did see one job that requested Asian for an Asian restaurant, so occasionally this happens.
Oh, I just remembered. Ethos has a lot of jobs with banks. Some are live and some are on line or over the phone. They have contracts with Islamic banks and some jobs in particular for Arabic speakers. So there's a good variety, but TBH, the majority is with banks.
Do these mystery shopper companies prefer any particular nationality, age group of people? My mom's around 60 and has a lot of free time on her hand, could she apply for it? Also, how many hours per week do you need to put in? Thanks!
Word of warning about Ethos, they don't pay up for a long long time! you have wait forever and pester them for your money! (what little there is in the first place!)
Oh no sorry about that ! Not sure what the story is - havent dealt with them since Feb although I always called and didnt really use the website. Maybe try calling? I remember they did all the major hotels and so some juicy assignments involved. Good luck.
I did a bit of mystery shopping here 4 years ago and all they kept sending me to was MacDonalds. Having 5 Mac meals a week was sure not healthy lol. And I had to eat most of it to make my report, so could not get away with just buying the meals, then binning them. I also had a couple of Swarvoski shops, which was fun and shoe shops. It did give me something to do at a time when I was crawling the walls with boredom though.
Amanda Shaks - hope you dont mind me asking but do you mind sharing the 3 mystery shopping companies that were a pain to work with and did you experience any companies not paying up?? TIA
