We would like to apply for a liquor license. so far so good. We live in Dubai, but our visas are issued in Abu Dhabi where DH works. Apparently we need to get a letter from AD police saying they do not object to us having this license, then we duly present that in Dubai and off we go. DH is having a spot of bother locating which police station does this, nobody appears to know, or are they just not telling haha. Can anyone help? ta.

Someone else on here has just posted a thread about NOC's they have given directions for somewhere in Abu Dhabi Mummy Fish has just posted the thread if this helps I did indeed ;) I found out this was feasible on behalf of my husband's colleague who is in exactly the same situation.(visa AD, lives DXB). It was extremely painless by UAE standards. haha it was ME! double posting...thanks all.

Go through the lights at the junction with 15th and turn right at "Technical Scissors" shop. Then take your 1st left. You see Donner Cafe to the and Abu Dhabi Media Company right. Best to park here (if you can). The building is at the end of the block on a left turn (it's not far) in a square. CID are the last building on your right. The Liquor Licence office is on the ground floor. Good luck

Perhaps you can ask the staff at A&E or MMI they may of dealt with this issue before. :-) good idea, the staff here in Dubai don't know, but they may in AD. Thanks for that.
