Hi All

My driving night vision is definitely deteriorating and I need to get it looked at, especially if I want to see when I drive at night. Can anybody recommend a good optometrist, most the eye/glasses shops here just seem to sell glasses than offer any tests?

I have used Grand Optics on the Walk at JBR for an eye test. There is an optician within Spinney's on Al Wasl Road. Have also used them. For more in depth testing, Glaucoma, etc. I used the Welcare Clinic, China Court, Ibn Batuta. No complaints about any of them.

I finally admitted that it was about time I got some glasses a couple of months ago and on the recommendation of lots of the ladies on here went to the Moorfields clinic in Healthcare City - they gave me a very thorough eye examination and I was then able to take their prescription to one of the hundreds of glasses shops in all the malls. Moorfields did cost AED 750 for the eye test which is a lot but I felt reassured by how professional they were.
