Hi Twinmom2, Try to call this Filipina and do a short interview over the phone. Her number is 0563879946. She used to work with me during Saturdays - cleaning the house and doing the ironing. She's ok. It is illegal to hire an individual who is not sponsored by you to work as a maid or nanny UNLESS they work for a company and you hire that company.

Hi, I'm a new mum of twin boys and looking for a part time maid/nanny for a few hours each day to help out with the boys and for general household chores. I'm not necessarily looking for a qualified nanny as I don't intend to leave the boys in their care, I just need an extra pair of hands! Does anyone have any contacts or recommendations? Also, what is the going rate? I would also love to hear from any other twin mums out there, I don't have family in Dubai so I'm pretty much on my own so any tips and advice on how to cope would be great! For coping (and remaining married at the same time) I recommend a full-time nanny. It's cheap here and there is nothing like having a separate pair of hands to hold one screaming baby while the other one eats or you have a snuggle with the other. Its best for the twins and best for you. Plus, do you really want to struggle with laundry while you are exhausted from looking out for your twins? Having help saved my sanity and my marriage after the twins. Maybe not the advice you're after, but there it is.

I used BusyBees once, the nanny was a Filipina, my girl stayed with her for 4 hours. Had no problem. They charge 35 Dhs/hour, min. 4 hours. I don't know if you can get the same lady each time though...

You will have to employ via an agency usually around 40AED per hour and they have a minimum work time ( Some are 2-4 hours) Do not use someone elses maid as other do, as this is illegal and the sponsor would incur a huge fine! I cannot advise on agencies though sorry
