We also have a La Germania - gas hob and electric oven (wouldn't have it any other way!) - and I love it. It has auto cut-out which, as someone else said, some of the cheaper models didn't have (although it certainly wasn't that expensive to start with) ... Edited to add - we bought ours from Geant. edited by Sam7 on 14/08/2011

We have a Lagermania, have had it for four years never had any problems with it. All gas hob and oven. Has flame failure as DH wont buy anything without. Its been good enough but I cant seem to bake cakes, biscuits etc without either burning them or them being undercooked?.......so I just dont bother now lol! Otherwise its been very good :-)

I went for Maytag as they have an automatic cut out for the gas if the flame goes out - many of the cheaper ranges don't have this safety feature.

I have a Bosch which I love but both oven and stove top are gas (which I also love)
