Quick question regarding banks and salary transfer.

My son is just starting his first job here in UAE. He needs to open an account for them to transfer salary. Like a maid, he doesn't need checking services at this time, just a basic savings with access card and low maintenance costs. My question is: Does it matter if the account is a current account or savings account for purposes of salary transfer?
