Or alternative therapist for children please? DD's health is not quite right, want to bring it back to balance and do something about the constipation and now nose bleeding for no reason. My mum used to say that nose bleeding is to do with eating food with too much "excess heat", whatever that means. TIA.

Love, Love, Love the Herbal Tx Centre. Most of us are low in magnesium and this can contribute to constipation. Look up the search term the Miracle of Magnesium.

Bumping again for the TNT crowd. Thank you QB. I've used Dr Eade before for other stuff, she specialises in acupuncture.....I didn't think DD would be keen on the idea of needles that's all.....but will pick her brains when I next see her. edited by Sugarbeach on 06/10/2011

Dear Sugarbeach, I thnink you should try Dr Heather Eade as she would be able to advise a complementary approach in addition to the treatment prescribed by the GP. You can search her on this forum and a lot of posts should come up about her. The constipation and nose bleeds can probably be due to a gluten intolerance? Have u tried avoiding gluten for sometime and see how she feels? With regards to Synergy, the naturopath doctor there does use a complementary approach but the treatment is somehow generic for most people who visit him and I have heard mixed reviews about this approach. Hope this helps!

Bumping for the (hopefully more hippy, alternative) morning crowd. Any advice or recommendations for finding a complementary therapist would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I'm stabbing in the dark here, not sure what the particular therapy to go for nor the places/practicianers that do them....

Thanks Dragon. We are seeing GP and paediatrician and following the advice already. I want to do some additional complementary stuff to help, so that we are not relying purely on high fibre diet, water and lactulose - especially as getting DD to eat/drink the right things is an exhausting constant battle with her being so stubborn and fussy. Not even sure where to start, maybe I should make contact with one of the complementary therapy centres here - and see what they are able to do, rather than home in on a particular therapy. Any recommendations for the Dubai Holistic Treatment centre, Synergy ...and I can't remember what else is out there. TIA. edited by Sugarbeach on 05/10/2011

Think you should just take him to your regular GP to sort out his constipation and nose bleeds. For nosebleeds from a chinese pov means not eating heaty foods like lychees, dragonfruits, fried foods, junk foods. For his constipation maybe he is not drinking enough water?
