Thanks Purple for your response. Yes I did call Immigration and unfortunately got 2 different responses. One said I would get it at the same time in the airport Another said that we could only get it in the main BurDubai immigration office Hence checking on this forum, thanks on the tip for taking a copy of the passport with the exit stamp. As per AMER it seems the exit would be updated in the system automatically thanks again !

What do you mean by on the spot? The money is collected at accounts in main immigration not the airport, so not possible to do on the spot. If I remember correctly hubby got a text message saying deposit was ready for collection. How long did it take, cant remember sorry. In your shoes Id call immigration and ask rather then rely on an answer here. Also ask them if a copy of her passport with exit stamp would speed up the process.

Hi We are leaving Dubai for good on July 23 and our Indian helper is booked for her exit on July 21. She has managed to find a new employer who has already processed her visa and is sending her to Kish island for the exit stamp and re-enter Dubai the same day From our perspective, we are concerned about the maid exit and getting our 2000 aed deposit back from DNRD and 9200 aed from the Indian consulate. The visa cancellation has already been done at DNRD Does anyone know if the DNRD refund of 2k will be handed over to us on the spot on july 21 or has anyone experienced delay in the DNRD processing ? If so then I guess I will have to send her earlier than July 21. As per the AMER toll free number only the sponser can collect the deposit and cannot give power of attorney to another person to collect the money. Hence we are keen that the deposit is refunded to us on july 21 itself Early responses will be appreciated !!!! thanks in advance
