Just realised our maid's visa expired Opps! Does anyone know what is required for renewal (ie paperwork, process)? Also, husband PRO is on leave till December so we are going to have to do this ourselves. How long is the process (ie waiting time at the places).

TIA

here is the process I found online Go to an official typist at the DNRD or UAE immigration department. Pay renewal fees of about AED 5100 and receive renewal application form and medical forum. Add AED 100 if you want urgent processing. Go to government hospital (or Iranian Hospital) for medical tests. Pay fees of about AED 300-400 dhs. Test results should take a day or two. Go back to DNRD or immigration department with maid and all relevant documents. Sign new labour contract and receive new visa and labour card (while you wait if you paid urgent processing fees, after a few days if not, or it will be sent to you).

The easy option would be to go to the Safa Clinic next to Union Co-Op (across street from Lloyds bank) on Al Wasl Road. Take maids passport, 4? maid photos, sponsor passport copy, sponsor visa copy, sponsor attested work contract, villa contract and cash?. You can do the visa and the VIP medical there quickly and as they are often not busy, they are quite helpful too. On first visit, bring all docs and cash and get the typing done. Then sponsor has to sign. Then submit paperwork to be processed. Then get medical done. Then get medical results and visa is completed.
