Hey ladies x
I have my Mum and Dad here and it will be their Ruby Wedding Anniversary in August. They do not want a fuss making but I was thinking that whilst they were here I could surprise them with a treat evening or something. Any ideas? Something that will not break the bank as times are haaaaaaard!!!!!!! I did think about something at the Burj al Arab but I can't spend nearly 1000dhs!! I was thinking around 500dhs?

Agree with Shamat (although I've only been once)!!! By the way, when we ate at Atmosphere I almost fell off my brromstick when the bill came (esp as I was paying)....5000 dhs for four. Cocktails might be better if you're sorried about cost (200 dhs per person minimum)

Please don't be put off the Bateaux Dubai, it really does fit the bill perfectly for what you are looking for. I've been on it 4 times now and I've never been disappointed. There's live music, usually a pianist or jazz, and the ever changing scenery of the creek is lovely. The service is good and although the menu is set, there's 4 or 5 choices for every course. I was so surprised when I read all the negative reviews of it on here, because I really don't have a bad word to say about them! And believe me, that's unusual for me!!

Thanks ladies. I was thinking about the Bateaux but then read some bad reviews on here. We have done the fountains to death but my dad hasn't done the Burj K yet. I hoped there would be a mega fantastic deal for the Burj Al Arab but still mega spondoolies. Anyone heard of any other offers? xxxx

Was just about to recomend Bateaux dubai but see shamat beat me to it! so I'll second it. When my mum and aunt were here we did that on their last night and they loved it. There are 2 for 1 vouchers in Entertainer Fine dining. I also love the fountain view and usually go to Karma kafe but that might be a bit young! Cocktails in the Atmosphere Lounge would be nice too

Have you ever done the Dubai Fountains with them? My parents loved them. You could eat at the Mango Tree and watch the fountains at the same time, although I guess the balcony might be too hot now. you could always eat inside then go outside to watch the fountains, but that is less atmospheric. Or what about at Bateaux Dubai Cruise? Their summer offer is 333AED per person all inclusive with a 4 course meal (silver service) - check whether that is still on. My parents loved that too!

Just an idea, do the burj skydeck ( if u book in advance its cheaper like AED 100 do it just before sunset ).. then down at one of the restaurants, NOT the Atmosphere as that is expensive .. there are some nice restaurants there and if u have or know someone who has the "Entertainer" book there is buy one get one free. Just an idea ... good luck johjoh
