Does anyone know what kind of salary is being paid to Doctors in Dubai? What is an AVERAGE cost of living for one person per month there?

Does anyone know what kind of salary is being paid to Doctors in Dubai? What is an AVERAGE cost of living for one person per month there? Sadly, it depends on your nationality. I know British GPs here can earn 35-50k a month, if you work on commission you normally get 10k basic and then 35% on what you earn. Specialist obviously get more. I know a Greek doctor here who only earns 25k a month. It really varies so much.

You also need to factor in what kind of doctors, certain specialities have higher salaries. I know from a friend that nurses make between 8000 - 10,000 dhs/month. And more if they speak Arabic.

As others have said, salary will vary depending on these factors. As far as cost of living, also depends on what type of lifestyle you have or hope for. are you responsible for your own accommodation? Rents vary by area, or building. If you won't be home a lot your utility bills might not be that high, and if/when you go out for food you can find everything here from very cheap to five stars.

Western doctors on average get paid more than Asian (but not always). Yes, It is racist but that is just how Dubai is I'm afraid. Depends on what type of clinic and area you will be working in. You could earn next to nothing to a major salary so there is no average. Gratuity is not given by all employers.

Dr.'s salary depends on a lot of things, nationality (unfortunately), where your degree is from, where you previously worked and at what level etc. The American Hospital will pay more than the likes of Saudi German or Al Zahra. General Practitioners in a practice with predominantly western doctors and a western clientele will be paid more than a practice that has predominantly non-western trained drs. Gratuity is a payment that is paid at end of service for every year that you have been employed, it is almost in lieu of a pension (as there are no employee pension schemes here).

Thanks..Is there a reason why they split the job offer into allowance for housing , transportation , and basic salary ? Yes they split the salary into sections so that when you complete your contract and leave, your gratuity is worked out as a percentage of your basic salary without allowances. Better for employee to have higher basic and lower allowances and vice versa for the employer ?
