Sky News Reporters who use "clearly" in every sentence. People who use "you know" at the end of EVERY sentence. I blame U.S. actors for this one.

just found this thread roflmao at "britishers" can't wait to tell DH that one! As for "Tell me" I don't really get my panties in a twist when non-native english speakers say something I find odd. Maybe they are translating literally. In Miami, a lot of spanish speakers answer the phone "dime" which means tell me so I can see where this could happen - I am more impressed that others are making the effort to speak english in the first place ;)

I find myself using this one all the time, but I can't stand it - "so" As in "I'm so not in a good mood...", "I so don't want to..." etc.

this thread is far more interesting and useful then I initially thought. Firstly, you may correct all of my English, as I am not a native English speaking person so I make tons of mistake. Secondly, I am improving my English just by reading this. So carry on. Finally, just to give you an example, the other day I said: my kid's behaviour made a 360 degree change...Didnt feel very smart afterwards... hahahaha, don't feel bad, I am a Native English speaker and once said that! I said that too!

Yes, and also, "today today". Only one "today" means more probably tomorrow or after a couple of days. Did anyone mention 'today itself'?

'oh anything which is at new dubai? anything else is too far for me' which brings me to my question, when you are in your own home country, is 15 mins by car TOO FAR FOR YOU???? uurrgghh!!! LOL. I heard two people chatting over coffee the other day.....one of them said they just moved to Arabian Ranches, to which the other replied 'long drive' p.s. one ? not 4 is sufficient. also are three ! really necessary?

same, same. Why does it need to be repeated? :) edited for my bad grammar :) edited by Saltire on 20/03/2011 Because there is another expression that goes "same, but different" ;-).
