Clever EW s - please help me solve this one. We are potentially relocating to KL, Malaysia.....lots of decisions to make.....including what currency to get paid in. This isn't an issue in the UAE as the AED is pegged to the dollar (curreny of our contracts).

The numbers in our KL contracts are in USD. We could either be paid in USD into our HSBC USD account, or in MYR into a local currency account - after the company converts the USD to the MYR equivalent.

Apart from needing MYR to live on in KL, we will be converting to GBP any spare cash (eventually).

I think the answer is A) get paid in USD and then convert to either MYR or GBP through HSBC internet banking as required (even though the rates are not known to be great).

Thanks worried. It's not quite a done deal yet.....but when you come to KL again, if we're there, we should meet for coffee....whoops, think I might get banned now..... edited by Sugarbeach on 19/11/2011
