Hi all,
I've arrived in Dubai recently and I'm seriously thinking of starting a business.
Not sure about the location yet. JBR? I heard rents can be pretty expensive
Any infos welcome.
Many thanks :)

The FZEs are the easiest Hamriya is 25k yearly and RAK is cheaper i think. Jabel ali is too expensive :) You have to get your trade license and technically use a distributor to trade outside the FZE. HTH

Unfortunately lots of red tape involved. Depending on what your business is, if you want to trade outside of craft fairs, etc. (where you will come under the organiser's licence) you will need either a Free Zone or LLC licence. Neither come particularly cheap. Virtu Zone seems to be recommended for a free zone licence but for an LLC you will need to go to the appropriate government department. I'm sure someone will give you more information on what they did when setting up their own business or do a search on here for past threads on the subject. Good luck !!
