Thinking of going camping this Eid in Dibba (near Sandy Beach), but have heard there's oil in the water so you can't swim. Has anyone been there lately that can advise either way?

Many thanks and Eid Mubarak!

We were at the Sandy beach, yesterday! Part cloudy but was perfect! Not crowded and the weather was good until 3:00 PM. We enjoyed our time. The oil was gone completely and we did not feel anything different than before

Hi MaiTai, we didn't go in the end as heard the beaches were covered in oil (called a couple of the big hotels and got confirmation that this was the case). Have also heard the weather's not great (was in Umm Al Quain yesterday and it rained off and on for most of the day, for example).
