Depends what sort they are ... the thick twill type that you can get in brown, red or green (I think) advice dry clean only.

I wash mine in the machine regularly. I let them half dry naturally then put them back on the furniture slightly damp and they are fine. I don't do mine that often but a friend washes her cream ones monthly and they still look fine.

I sent mine to the dry cleaners yesterday. I have be know to wash covers in the past and they never look the same.

Yep - I do it all the time and they come out good as new each time! They can take a while to dry inside though, so maybe make sure you can get them out in the fresh air (if it doesn't rain that is). I don't risk putting them in the dryer.

I didn't damage them but they did shrink slightly even though I didn't dry and used cool water.

That is the question, Ok I need some advice. Has anybody ever managed to wash the sofa covers in the wash machine without damaging them ? TIA ;)
