Hi ladies
my 13 tear old daughter and I planning to move back to Dubai by first week of January from TORonto where we have been living fir the last 6 Years. My daughter studied in Safa British Schoo up to year 2. So, now she is in mid grade 8 ( year 9) and I'm not sure he and which school to try ti get admissions. Any one cab help with recommendations on Canadian Schools just forherti finish this year or any suggestions of schools ? Also, as a single mom I will be working and need recommendations on school or college hiring as I am a educator Myself.

Hi, my child was accepted from one of IB school in Dubai. He’s born in June 2013 and he was accepted to join Grade 6. He was also accepted by British school and was told he’s Year 8 from Term 1 2025. Think cut off is August 31, and I am wondering why he could get acceptance for grade 6 for IB but only Year 8, not Year 7. As he is not used to speak English we are ok if he is Year 7 after September. Any difference in eligible grade between IB and british??

Hi and welcome back to Dubai! My cousin's kids are studying at Swiss International Scientific School Dubai and I hear it's a pretty solid International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum. Mine are studying at a UK curriculum school (Emirates International School in Jumeirah and Cambridge International School in Qusais), if you're open to a British system. :) Also if you're looking for work as an educator in Dubai, I'd recommend searching on Naukrigulf and the ExpatWoman website's jobs board. I don't work in education but I always see a lot of openings for schools on ExpatWoman. All the best in your search!
