Hi hope some of you who live in or know Victory Heights can help.

I have already seen both but can't decided and neither had furniture in so it was difficult to judge.

Does the open kitchen bother you or does it work better in the C1 - sometimes you have to live in a Villa to know what works and what doesn't.

Plus any other plus or minus points.

Would just appreciate some feed back.

Thanks

Thanks @TwoKids I guess the pools will open in Dubai time! Does anyone live in a B type and have any comments, positve or negative. Also the rental rate appears to have gone up recently, I was told that this is also because the sales price has also increased by between 10% and 20% since the beggining of 2011. Perhaps I have missed something, has gold been found on the Golf course or is there a justified reason for the increase - any ideas.

Hi Nikki63, Sorry i don't know much about VH but can i ask how did you view the various villas there - is it an agent that took you there? If so can you share the agent's detail as i am interested in viewing some of the villas there. Sorry to hijack your thread :) edited by Metness on 17/08/2011 edited by Metness on 17/08/2011 Hi, we used Lindsey from Gulf Platinum Properties. @Nikki63 - the pool and basketball court that you saw have been that way since February when we moved in. The other pool is at the entrance from Motor City and is disappointingly small. I have 3 friends that live in C1s and they all enjoy their houses. I personally love open plan houses, but that is the fashion in Australia. In winter time VH is beautiful with the walkways and great playgrounds. Access to Emirates Rd is great. I'm not sure how the community will be maintained in the future as there seems to be concerns from owners that the developer has not delivered what was promised to them and are disputing service charges.

Thanks for your replies. I have never lived in open plan kitchen and living space so good to know you both quite like it. I thought I saw some pools and basket ball courts, so hopefully if they are not open it should not be long. Does anyone else have any more to add, do you enjoy living there, at the moment it looks well maintained are there any major maintenance problems with any of the houses. Thanks all for taking you time to answer.

We are in a C1 but not overlooking the golf course. Open plan living was new to me but now after a year I quite enjoy it especially when you are entertaining. Kitchen is not very big and has limited cupboards so I am using the maids room for more storage. The A/C is divided into zones downstairs and the A/C that covers the living room also controls the front room and hall. Sometimes I feel this is a bit of a waste. Really enjoy living here though and very close to Spinneys. Like Luddite says no swimming pool etc at the moment but hopefully will happen soon..

We're just about to sign the contract for a c1 overlooking the golf course. I think the open plan layout is good if you have smaller children but also if you want to entertain. We viewed one that people were living in and it seemed to work well. I don't think any house design will be perfect, unless you design it yourself! I'm more bothered about being near the building work and lack of communal swimming pools at VH...
