There was a time when Wednesday became the new Thursday. Then Tuesday became the new Wednesday (which was the new Thursday).

But I see it has shifted yet again...

Popcorn-worthy days on EW are more unpredictable than holidays on an Islamic calendar. (Hope that joke came across right...)

Really? You guys would much rather read about other people's dog turds and snitty grocery assistants than what's going on in the region around you? Astounding ...

Such a shame. It was almost a real debate. I guess you just aren't ready yet. If only we were debating something of substance! potential war isn't substantial? wow. No, I thought we were debating whether talking about war on EW was acceptable ...

Actually, I should think you all would welcome any discussions about the security around us. From experience, I can tell you that a security situation doesn't get bad over night - we say, it is not like throwing a frog into a pot of boiling water - where he would be smart enough to jump straight out. But more like putting a frog in a pot and slowing turning up the heat. Before he knows it, he's been boiled. Don't let that happen to you - talk about it, be aware of it, think about it. This is the year things are going to hit the proverbial fan with Iran. we weren't saying we don't talk about it, aren't aware of it, don't think about it, just not necessarily on EW... Why? Is this a "no think" zone??? LOL...not sure - why not check out the soap powder threads...

Gulf News article - potential there... you find potential war amusing fodder? each to their own I guess No I don't but there was nothing new in this and this has been raised on several occasions. I I also think that there is no point in putting fear into people when really they have no control over what will happen! There are more deadly possible flashpoints in a day that we will ever know about. Plus you seem to think that people on here need exposure to this. While people may write about soap powder, they may know about more than that. and what is wrong with posting news articles on this subject? as I said but let me spell it out again: 1. nothing new in it 2. been done before - admittedly so has soap powder 3. assumption that people don't know 4. potentially alarming while really this stuff goes on all the time that is your personal opinion. Do you speak for all the other users on this forum? No but am sure there are many who think the same way. Why are you so irate about this? Because I said there was nothing new in it???

Sorry but i've always thought that posting news articles as if you think ppl need to be informed is a tad condescending...
