Many thanks all for the leads. Just in case anyone else is interested this may save them some time; 4 options so far (yet to check if S&S still have them, thanks m&m). Distributor for UAE are Delta Trade tel: 04 810 5594 Delta Trade supply 2 stores: "Life Fitness" located by the entrance by Waitrose in Dubai Mall & "Fit Works" opposite Diera City Centre by the metro side of the mall. Both of these quote the list price and will offer 10% discount as standard. However, in addition to this there are two shops along from the Mazaya centre on SZR who offer 23% discount straight off: I.t Sports tel: 04 3251 423, www.itsportsdubai.ae & Al Kamda tel: 04 266 4200 www.alkamda.com. Needs to be noted that their stock levels need to be considered; al Kamda had a 10 week delivery!! Hope this may be of help to someone!! The model referred to here is the D with PM3. K

There is a place near Mazaya Centre - a shop/outlet called Al Khanda?? Khandi or similar? Sorry I don't have their card to hand. They sell all kinds of machines and may be able to help you. You can see it easily if you drive past along there- about 2 buildings past it.

You could try the local distributor for a refurbished one (or maybe a lead on a second hand one). I don't have the details to hand but I know I googled it to find the distributor in Qatar (who was wonderful BTW in terms of service and followup - I send a note of thanks to the boss of the guy who worked with me on mine)
