Which store do you buy skincare from?

Any suggestion or favourites ladies? I normally buy online but I'd like to speak to one of the sales assistants.

Every time I go into Sephora (Dubai Mall or MoE) I am either ignored or pounced upon. Either way it's really frustrating. The few times I do get to speak to someone, they don't really know their products or brands.

Is Debenhams any better or Areej perhaps?

TIA

Yeah, they're clueless about their products. I get mine from the body shop (teatree stuff for my acne) and the guy working there (had pimples himself) asked ME if it was working for me? He seemed like he needed some advice from me.

I find the staff at beauty stores here so frustrating, I do most of my shopping online. I have acne scars and the occasional pimple, and I'll usually get an extra-helpful salesperson coming and asking me embarrassingly loudly "Maam do you want something for your pimples?" It's irritating, and worse they usually have very little knowledge of the products! I'm still obsessed with Korean skincare so I'm always trying new stuff from [url=http://www.thebbcreamgirl.com'>The BB Cream Girl online store[/url'> in UAE. I love the Innisfree brand for skincare in particular, it feels like they actually do use mostly natural ingredients, sort of like Body Shop. I'm so done with my trips to Boots and Debenhams!

We were in Boots at Ibn Battuta looking for some 'cheap' shower gel. An assistant started following us around trying to get us to buy a really expensive brand. After we politely declined (three times) she actually put it in our shopping basket! What the...?! I know they are extremely pushy here but how can that ever be acceptable? What the... Indeed. That's outrageous!!!!

I also get annoyed when sales people stalk you even after you said you don't need help. I just tell them to back off and leave me alone. Especially in Boots! I liked the customer service in Wojooh (Faces) in MOE. No stalking just there when you need them. And in all fairness Boots staff do know their products if you do need their help. I certainly agree with the Boots issues. Once I got asked...' mam would you like something for your pigment?' Then following time ' Would you like something for your fine lines around your eyes ?' to which I replied... very rudely ' no thank you, would you like something for yours ?' i just got quite sick of it. One day I was in Boots and an assistant was trying to hard sell some wrinkle cream to a poor guy who didn't need it at all. I felt so sorry for the guy as he looked so embarrassed. I complained quietly to a manager as their selling techniques could give people real phobias about themselves. I know someone very close to me that suffered from anorexia. This illness goes on and on for years and even after treatment they begin to look great again the illness is still in their heads. Imagine being pushed into purchasing a cellulite cream. They seriously need to train their staff better. They drive me mad sometimes. It's not just 1, but at least 3-4 wanting to "help". The filterless talk needs to be dealt with, perhaps being on the receiving end will teach them.

I always go to Clarins in Dubai Mall and speak to the girl there, we have become quite friendly and she knows what I like and want. I then cheat and go somewhere like Paris Gallery to buy the products once the original one has run out.

Harvey Nic's at MOE, or Bloomies Dubai Mall. Always seem to know their stuff, without being pushy.
