Hi ladies!
Im a first time mum and currently 34 weeks pregnant.
For about a week now im feeling a sharp pain in my lower back and adomen as well.
Now the adominal pain seems to be getting stronger and stronger.
Is there anything i can do to ease the pain?
Is this normal? Did anyone experience something similar?

Hi ummzarinah! Thanks for the support. The pain has its up and down but more bareable now. Its a baby boy ? just cant wait to see him. Just a matter of time now. Cross you fingers for that that everything will go just fine.

Hi Nad, Glad to read that everything is okay with you and baby. Has the pain diminished or is it still present?? Are you having a boy or a girl??

Preterm labour is never something you should wait and see if it gets worse. A 34 weeker is most definitely going to have some struggles and will probably spend awhile in the NICU. I know it's already Sunday and you said you're going in today, but please don't risk your baby's health in the future. Go in.

Your right Tattie Bogle! If things get worse during the day i will just go to the hospital and see what they say. If its pre term labour will they make me stay at the hospital?

Sunday's a long time to wait if you are worried, get yourself down to hospital just to get checked out.

I manage to get an appointment this coming sunday and just hoping sunday will be here soon. The other thing is that im wondering is that i registered at a hospital here and brought all my medical history for the pregnancy and saw the doctor 2 days ago she did even bother to check my file and made do everything all over again including a glucose test which i have done and passed. Well after this test last tuesday i ve been feeling sick to my stomach and threw up a lot as well. Does any body think that this is affecting me or the baby somehow. Im not going back to this place i changing hospitals they scared the **** out of me there. Will let you know what the doc says lets just cross our fingers that all will be ok.:)

I'm sure you are fine, I remember having these kinds of pains towards the end but best to get checked out to be sure. Try not to worry all will be well!

I'm 31 weeks right now and I get the same kinds of pains..albeit not that strong. It turns out my cervix is not dilated but very soft...so I wouldn't take any chances and get an appointment asap :)

Agree with the last poster-had the same symptoms at 32 weeks-and a beautiful prem daughter the next day! Best to get it checked out.

At 34 weeks, just to be safe I would check with my dr to make sure you're not in preterm labour.
