Hi everyone, well not good news. HCG went to 27 then 2 days later still at 27 so got told to stop medication and now just waiting for period to start. gutted but life goes on and we will just start again. going to have tests done first as this is the 2nd try and both failed at the same time so something cant be right somewhere. Thanks for all your kind messages and best wishes to all of you who have been succesful. hopefully i will be joining you all again soon. xxxxx

GREAT NEWS BA! You're Preggers lady! Ok I'm really teary-eyed for you, so you can guess everything went very well with Dr. F in my caase. I actually really love that place and everyone in it. Just an FYI - i had 2 failed IUIs and 1 IVF. Positive with the IVF is leading to a nice little human (not a bean anymore!!). Really, just stay relaxed and let the team do all the worrying. Plus what can you do now except let your body go to work. Now you have to look forward to the lovely mornng sickness and extreme fatigue that you find forums about ;) I'm so happy for you, really...Stay strong, stay happy. Toodles! :D

Hey BA Do you mean that your HCG was 27 at 11 dpo (days past egg retirvieal)? If so, it soulds like that little bean is rocking ;) So, here's hoping that Thursday's result is c. 81. Thanks for asking after me... today I am 5 weeks 3 days!! I have another progesterone intra-muscular at Dr F's today (as had a single tiny spot of red blood on Friday night) and then another beat test tomorrow. Saturday's beta showed the required doubling so am praying tomorrow's will do likewise. This is cycle 3 for me... am really hoping 3rd time lucky! All the best, x

Hello ladies, sorry it's been a few days. firstly i just want to thank you all for your kind messages and words. it really did and has lifted my spirits. well my blood test on saturday came back as 10 so it doubled after 9 days and then i had another blood test yesterday and the results last night were 27 (after 11 days). now just gotta wait AGAIN!! till thursday for another blood test. thursday will be day 14 so am still keeping everything crossed!! DC Diva - how did you get on with Fakhi ? any results yet? Full of dreams - i have everything crossed for you and i really hope you get a positive result. my friend has been through it, over stims, poly cysts etc but she is now pregnant with twins through fakhi so keep positive Dubai 71 - how is your pregnacy going? Once again thank you to everyone! it's great to know that there are people out there who care xx:)

Hey Barmy Army, I had my IVF with Dr. Fakikh as well just recently. I will tell you this: any number 5 and above is considered as positive BUT, talk to Madonna...she will help you feel better about your numbers. I tried to check with everyone, look all over the internet for answers, blah blah, and then Rageeda yelled at me. She said, if you have any questions, just ask. Dont google anything. (this was also because my numbers were coming low according to the standards) So check with them. They will give you peace of mind that you need. But overall, relax. Any stress can cause an adverse reaction to your little bean. :) Love, peace and harmony! Send you happy thoughts!

aha, another dr fakih patient ;) is this your 1st time? 5= pregnant. it's a low start but it's extremely early days and it's not the start number so much as the rise that's important. so now you just have to keep praying that the numbers rise as they should. at 6dp 3dt mine was only 3.4 and i was convinced it hadn't worked again but now i'm 4 weeks 4 days pregnant and on tuesday my beta was 93 :) so, i am likewise hoping mine continue to rise as they should good luck to you. the 2ww is grim- there is no polite way of dressing it up. hang in there. hope that this is the lucky time for both of us. x

HCG is secreted by the chorion of a fetus. There are no guarantees ever (as sadly, you likely know better than most) but you have a chorion!!! Congrats!!!) It is always dodgy for the first trimester (, or for about the first 12 weeks or so, to be more precise). Not much you can do will help or hinder this miracle. If the fetus is called back then it is not your fault. Just breathe in and out, look after yourself. This is how it all begins! Hugs,

Best of luck for Saturday! I think with hcg results it's more the trend that's important this early on - as long as it's going up at a good rate then it's all good. So one specific number isn't statistically as important.

If you weren't pregnant, it wouldn't register anything at all - so 5 is actually good news, I think. Also, they say that a really high HCG early on can be an indicator of genetic problems or trouble with the pregnancy later on ... so think positive!

it's a very low number, but then you're in very early days. no one can give you any authoritative guarantees / reassurances except for your doctor. every pregnancy is different, and a low hcg count - although not optimum - is not always necessarily a bad thing. the best way to test a viable pregnancy is to have bloodtests done every 48 to 72 hrs, if your hcg count doubles, it's a good sign. have a look at this http://www.americanpregnancy.org/duringpregnancy/hcglevels.html please speak to your doctor. good luck x
