Hi mnadir, I had my baby at City Hospital and it was such a bad experience I would NEVER go there again. The labor floor nurses were great, as was my doctor who has an office elsewhere but delivers there. The pain management was the reason I will never go back. Absolutely miserable experience, including how I never felt like I was getting all the information about my baby. Good luck to you and I hope wherever you go, you have a great experience.

Hi mnadir! I delivered my DD at American in March and it was great. Dr Ghada was my OB too and she was amazing. I almost died giving birth to my 1st baby in Oz so I was extremely scared and concerned about my 2nd delivery. Dr Ghada was very professional and put me at ease straight away. She is very direct and straight to the point but also has a sense of humour. She will always give you options and her opinion but gives you time to discuss it with your DH and won't pressure you to go one way or the other (natural or c-section) unless it is medically necessary. Her office staff are fantastic and very caring. In regards to American hospital, the labour ward is fantastic. The staff are friendly, positive, very caring and very organized. The maternity ward is a little less personal and the food is awful!!! Luckily you can order in and there is a fridge in your room. Is this your first baby?

I had my DD at the American Hospital and cannot criticise them for anything! All staff were fantastic from start to finish and I would not hesitate to have another one there. The lactation consultant was sometimes a little forceful but her intentions were good and she was very helpful. Good luck with your choice!

I checked both hospitals when i moved to Dubai 32 weeks pregnant. The smell of the labour room of the city really put me off, add this it was very small. I was there for around 3 minutes only and was so relieved to leave. Moving on to the American, Although i wasnt happy with the unfriendly nurses (with no exception) and other staff members of the American maternity clinic, the maternity ward was 5 stars for me. Midwives were great, labour room was spacious and fully equipped, the whole experience in that ward was really pleasant. Hopefully and if all goes well im going to deliver my second baby there in May. Good luck x

Hi mnadir, I had my two girl at American Hospital and am having a third one in March and would not want to have at at any other hospital other than American. My Dr. is Dr. Raj and I highly recommend her. Everyone has a different experience and you will hear pos and neg things. I found the facitlities, equipment and staff (nurses, drs) to be excellent at American Hospital. What is the issue or worry that you're having?
