My DD started to teeth a few weeks back and its gotten really bad now. She is cranky and in a lot of pain. As she is preterm and only 3 months corrected age, its hard for her to cope with the symptoms.

We are using a cold teether (which she hates) and Dentonix teething gel. I was recommended the Ashton & Parsons Teething Powder, but its not available here. I read the other threads regarding this, and was wondering if someone can help it out if they are going to/returning from UK anytime soon...or if someone has ordered it online.

Any other recommendations or ideas that might help me?

Try Nelson's Teether, similar to A&P except it's homeopathic teething granules! Works just as well! You can still find A&P powders in South Africa, so I'm not sure where they are getting their supply from?! Another place to get the amber necklace from is Favorite Things in Dubai Marina Mall.

As far as I understand Ashton and Parsons burned down in the riots so I don't think it's really available anymore. We get all of our homeopathic teething things at iHerb.com. They ship over here quickly. We also use the teething necklaces and swear by them. Amber in Dubai is a great place to get them. Be careful in buying them because there are plastic ones or fake ones being sold around. I would just double check who you're buying them from. My daughter has been wearing hers since 2 months. The lighter and cloudier the better as it has more of the healing properties in it. If you want her to wear it at night you can take it off her neck and put it around her ankle under a sleep suit to avoid any dangers. We froze breastmilk and let our daughter chew on it through those mesh bags that you can buy. We also will freeze a washcloth or flannel after soaking it in chamomile tea and give it to her at bedtime. Both of those things really seemed to help. Be careful of the teething gels like Bonjela and the like. They can make the gums super tough and thick and actually make it harder to get those teeth through. There is quite a lot of information on that if you Google it. Hope that helps. :)

Ashton and Parsons powder seems really hard to find! I found it online at Boots. Shop and Ship being the only option open. But a friend gave me another brand that I am trying now (seems to have the same claims). The teething necklace is great so far. Its available at babysouk.com (appears to be the cheapest here - AED 94).

I swear by amber teething necklaces. Maybe someone in the know could tell you where they are sold locally. Of course, paracetamol will also help if she's in terrible pain. Best to check with your Dr since she's so little and particularly special. :)
