The past 2days, DS 2yrs and 3 weeks has been very restless. He looks tired even after sleeping for 12-13hrs a day (including nap), he doesnt eat dinner but only wants fruit. Very cranky during the day.
And putting him to bed is a nightmare. He keeps getting up. usually it takes him about 20-30mins to fall asleep.. past 2 days he has been taking more than an hour.. And he expects me to lie down with him which is driving me mental when its for so long!
He usually doesnt cause so much problems while going to bed.
ANd I can hear him grinding his teeth while lying in bed trying to fall asleep.
Is it possible that he is teething? growth spurt? Wat is it?
Anyone?

It does sound like teething, and I have to agree with mk - it does take a while for these last molars to come through. However :) I found it was intermittant in it's disturbance to my LO's sleep. So although it might take around a month for them to come through completely, it didn't mean a whole month of disturbed sleep.

Ok sorry, to be fair!!! she has never been a good sleeper so it may not have just been the teeth! My point just being that I didn't even realize she was teething until they had popped out already. Lol sorry shouldn't scare you, like I said just a few days when the teeth are cutting through should be the worst. Mmm but may be worth taking that calpol anyway, can't suggest anything stronger considering you're BF! Hope you're coping well with the two of them. I found the adjustment from one to two pretty tough, but it gets easier!

Sounds Like teething to me, just keep an eye on his temp to make sure he isnt getting sick. It's hard to say how long it will last. I've found with my two toddlers they reacted differently every time they teethed, even with different teeth coming out. With my first child, I didn't even notice until the back teeth were out already, then realized that was probably a reason for her not sleeping well for a few weeks. My second still has his back molars pushing through right now, they probably started about a month ago - he woke up at night crying and was just not himself and got a whole lot fussier about food than usual... but he doesn't seemed bothered by them anymore even though theyre not altogether out. I think it is just the initial cut through which shouldn't take longer than a few days. I would suggest giving him some calpol especially at night, poor thing it really must be painful so the calpol will help him feel better. Good luck, I hope it passes soon! Xxx
