Oh no!! Did Karen or Dr. Nataliya mention that Dr. Lanelle might be able to help you with the positioning of DD? I'm pretty sure when I was seeing Dr. Lanelle for accupunture & adjustments that she said she could help with positioning? She works at Well Being Medical Clinic anyway if you want to phone and ask. Yes, I drank loads of the rasberry leaf tea towards the end! Not sure if it made a difference or not but felt like I was doing something to move things along anyway. All ok here. The last two days I've managed to get him down for day time naps which have been great. He really doesn't like to sleep during the day which is exhausting for me!! He's got great weight gain though and smiling which is lovely. I definately want to meet up once your LO arrives. I'm SLOWLY getting a little more confident taking DS out by myself. The first few times I was a nervous wreck! DH leaves this Sunday on a 2 week business trip which I'm really not looking forward to. Will let you know about Baby Cafe when I manage to go to one! Good luck!! x

Nothing - and due date is tomorrow! :( I saw Karen today and DD has somehow managed to turn herself round the little tyke, so now has her back to my back, a lovely, awkward position that apparently means a longer, more painful labour, great! So I have some exercises to do to try and coax her back into her previous, perfect position :) I think they will induce me if I go 7-10 days beyond due date (God forbid!) but that sounds fairly horrid so drinking lots of raspberry leaf tea and eating pineapple (?!) to try and persuade DD to make a natural appearance. LOL the drama of it all! How are you getting on with DS 2Blossom? I really want to meet up once DD is here and we are confident enough to be out and about. Let me know how you get on with the Baby Cafe if you go!

See I have the opposite problem - DD is really not much of a kicker so I am constantly paranoid that I can't feel her and that's something is wrong!! Whenever we go to the doctor or the midwife she's fine and the heartbeat is good and strong etc, but sometimes I wouldn't mind sacrificing a night's sleep to feel the little tyke kicking me nonstop! She feels huge though and I get big humps all over my tummy in the evening when she is squirming her way into some new and awkward position. Ooooh I just can't wait to meet her :)

nope. nothing. nada... and here i was thinking i was gonna pop 2 weeks ago. We are changing this baby's name to something that means 'stubborn'. DH is convinced that since its a girl this time, she is taking her time getting hair and makeup ready. :\: must say.. did have a lovely valentines evening out with DH while mom stayed home with the LO's.

Hi ladies, hope you and your bumps are all doing well. Haven't been on in a while so just catching up with everyones progress and news. Big congrats to Dollymud and 2Blossom, hope you're enjoying your new arrivals and have recovered well. Our little boy made a surprise arrival on 1st February, due date was 21st so three weeks early. Went for a routine check up with Dr Elsa on Tuesday morning and after she examined me I was bleeding heavily. She immediately despatched me to the labour ward where they broke my waters and started me on a drip. One epidural and 8 hours later our little man arrived. He weighed in at dinky 2.515kg, small but perfectly formed. For anyone delivering with Dr Elsa I cannot praise her highly enough, she was absolutely fantastic and the delivery and labour was a great experience, well in comparison to the 27 hour labour, forceps delivery of my DD. We're at home now and getting used to being a family of 4. Looking forward to watching out for all your birth announcements. Sx

Thanks for posting back so quickly 2Blossom, and very reassuring to hear that your experience at Medcare was a good one as have been a little anxious :-) You mention Dr. Nataliya visiting on Day 2 - does that mean she wasn't at your delivery? Anyway, good to hear that the hospital staff were supportive, esp re the breast feeding. Dr. Nataliya delivered DS. I was worried he would come early because she had been away on holiday, but he waited until she got back thank goodness! She was fantastic and Im really pleased with the care she gave me. I spent two nights in hospital as DS was being monitored, and she came back on day 2 to check I was ok. She gave us all the missing bits of information that Medcares doctors didn't provide us. Being new parents we were both a little worried but she made us feel loads better. One piece of advise...make sure your DH packs his bag as well if he will stay with you in hospital! Mine didn't and I rushed him out the door since he decided I can't have been in labour and he would try get a few extra minutes of sleep!! They do provide you with everything you need in hospital but they also do charge you for it as well. Enjoy the nesting :-)

Anyway, good to hear that the hospital staff were supportive, esp re the breast feeding. I think my nesting instinct has properly kicked in as just spent half an hour instructing DH on where to put up pics and mobiles in the baby's room and our room so that she has stuff to look at, bless her! Now am going to repack hospital bag LOL, and see if I can actually stuff in my toiletries. Am thinking that the fact it's so full probably means I am taking waaaay too much stuff ha! Jeniawwad, LOL at your cartoon marathon. My mum used to do the same with my twin brothers - we watched a lot of feature length Flintstones in our house - one day of tv definitely won't do any harm at all! Glad your mum is arriving imminently, the last thing you need is your other littlies sick when you are so close to giving birth!!! :)

Hi Reidly, Medcare was great. I can't complain about the care we got there. I had about 6 people in the delivery room with me, don't think I would have had that back at home! The midwives all helped me with the breast feeding. Each time he was due to fed they would come and make sure he was latched on properly and make sure colostrum was coming out. It's really amazing they know what to do even when they are a few hours old. I didn't have enough for him the first night so they topped him up with formula. He was in NICU for 3 days and I would go there to feed him. The only thing I can complain about was the lack of communication from the doctors there. DS had a few problems due to the assisted delivery and they didn't explain things properly to us which paniced us both. Dr. Nataliya visited on day 2 and explained everything in detail which was great. You will be fine :-) Looking forward to making a coffee morning soon and meeting you ladies ad your LO's.

hiya. Glad everyone is doing well. I'm still hanging on. Mom arrives in 36 hours or so...... yeah! My 3yr and 2yr old came down with fever yesterday so they were up all night. ahhhhhh! We are having a cartoon marathon today in our house. I don't have the energy to entertain them and I'm assuming that one day of brain-numbing tv won't kill us. I'm feeling okay atleast. Baby is try to kick her way out but can't blame her.. must be very tight in there :)

Hey 2Blossom, great to hear from you! I was wondering how you were getting on - sounds as though you are doing really well. ;-) Can I ask how you got on in the end at Medcare, was labour and delivery OK?? Also I am not sure if you are breast-feeding, but if you are - did they have a lactation consultant at the hospital who was available to help? Good luck with everything and maybe see you at the bumps 'n' babes morning at some point in the not too distant future!

Hi ladies, DS had his 3 week check up this morning. We were a little worried he wasn't getting enough milk but he's now 3.83kgs (birth weight 3.31kgs) so he's doing well! Has an unsettled period once a day where he is up for hours on end wanting to feed, be cuddled, catnap etc but at least the last few nights he has been more settled. Hang in there Reidly - your LO will be here before you know it :-) jeniawwad - hope you're doing ok as well!

Morning, how is everyone getting on? Jeniawwad, are you still waiting? I am due on 17th but not sure if I will make it til then. Feeling OK though apart from being very, very large now and having to waddle slowly rather than walk! Reading lots of books on bf as am lucky enough to have stopped working. 2Blossom and Dollymud, hope you are getting on brilliantly and enjoying your precious new babies, can't wait to meet mine and finally feel ready(ish!) for the arrival! Who knew how much kit babies need?? DH and I are in awe, LOL! Excited to know how you all are doing! :)

I sure hope i make it til my mom arrives, even if i need to start hanging upside down :-) If it happens before, that's okay... some lovely friends have offered to help with my other kids, but sure would be nice to have mom her to take care of them so i didn't have to deal with the logistics of it all. Actual due date is the 14th but last two were both early. Dr. Elsa seemed to think I'd make it til next week as long as i take it easy and no fooling around with DH..LOL

So... finally saw the dr. today! Head is down and effaced and I'm 2-3cm dilated. This little girl better wait another 8 days before she pops out because my mum doesn't arrive until the 31st! ahhhh :-) I thought i was having contractions last night but when i woke up i honestly couldn't remember if it really happened or if i was dreaming. I'm gonna assume dreaming but for goodness sake, can't i have some pleasant dreams before I am truly sleep deprived?!! Hope ya'll are all doing good! That's exciting :) Not long now... do you think you're going to make it till your mum arrives?!?!
