I had help with breast feeding last time I was there. They sent in a lactation consultant who sat with me for about 45mins and the nurses were very helpful also with everything when the consultant wasnt around. I was a very slow learner! With regards what to take in your hospital bag maybe this site can give you a rough guide http://www.babycentre.co.uk/pregnancy/labourandbirth/planningyourbabysbirth/whattopack/ I actually packed too much for DS when he was born and found they gave me a lot of the things I needed whilst I was there eg nappies, pads, cotton wool etc. I got my PJs from LULU's hypermarket in Al barsha of all places, very cheap and comfy, and will be using them again this time round. hope this this helps a little.

Cool, hello to you all. I am also under Dr. Nataliya at Coopers 2Blossom, you weren't in my antenatal classes were you?? My due date is Feb 17th so am a bit behind you though. I am happy with Medcare and trust Dr. Nataliya so hope all will be good. The questions I have are all a bit trivial I'm afraid - e.g what sort of thing do I need to take in my bag to the hospital, will they help me with breast-feeding (sooooo nervous about that!) and (sorry for this) any thoughts on where I can get some respectable PJ's to wear for the big event?? Exciting, exciting! Have a fab evening ladies! :)

Hi Reidly, congrats to you on first baby. I will be delivering at Medcare in 5ish weeks time. Ive delivered there before with my DS. There's mixed opinions about it on here but I had a great experience first time round and never had any issues and more than happy to be delivering there again. Any questions fire away and ill do my best to answer :)

Hello ladies I am very late to this thread as quite new to EW. I will be 34 weeks on Thurs with my first baby, super excited and can't wait to meet the little one as we've been trying for quite some time now. Have tons of questions (as no family here apart from DH, similar to lots of you I guess?) so am having a good old scour of EW as it's a mine of information (such as last week when DH called me and announced he had shingles, yikes! All OK now and haven't developed it but still, good to be able to ask advice when you're panicking like crazy and your OB and midwife are both on hols!!) :) Can I ask if anyone is due to deliver at Medcare?

It was nice to pop on here and see the Feb11 thread! :-) Glad that everyone is doing well and so impressed with how organized you all are. I just can't seem to get on the ball with anything regarding the new baby. Not a single outfit bought, haven't even pulled out the crib to dust it off, don't have even a baby bath, about a 100 books stacked on top of the diaper changing table and STILL NO NAME CHOSEN FOR HER! ahhhhhhh! On one positive note, i did manage to get rid of ALL my boys baby clothes AND went on a camping trip! Am hoping to do one more camping trip this month before its too late :( .... I'm sure my birth thread will read something like... had my baby in the desert because car was stuck in the sand....hahaha Hope everyone can enjoy this month to the fullest and sleep whenever possible. xxx

Ahh yes the refulx saga, I remember that all too well with DS. Fingers crossed this little one will not have that problem. DS has only just stopped that now at 16 months!
