So... finally saw the dr. today! Head is down and effaced and I'm 2-3cm dilated. This little girl better wait another 8 days before she pops out because my mum doesn't arrive until the 31st! ahhhh :-) I thought i was having contractions last night but when i woke up i honestly couldn't remember if it really happened or if i was dreaming. I'm gonna assume dreaming but for goodness sake, can't i have some pleasant dreams before I am truly sleep deprived?!! Hope ya'll are all doing good!

I'm due on the 12 th Feb, we'll see, depending on what you read it says you can have show 24 hours before labour, or several days so.....? I had a show about 3 days before my first son and can't remember 16 yrs ago with daughter! I'm at Dr Tuesday am she's gonna do internal ( something to look forward to !) so unless he's he before I'm sure il have a clearer picture. I too have had strong braxton hicks they do take your breath away sometimes I had particularly strong ones last night. Reidly, You better hold on until your DH back ! Take it easy and cross your legs ! Good luck We will definitely meet up for coffee when the babies are here, we can see who looks the most tired, lol!

Very exciting, congratulations to you Dollymud!!! When is your actual due date? Mine is 17 Feb but I can't imagine I'll last that long, baby is carrying lower and lower and I have started to get crampy pains at night (braxton-hicks???), it's my first so am pretty clueless but hoping I will make it to 37 weeks at least! According to the midwife the head is partially engaged already... DH is away on a flying visit to the UK next week so am under strict instructions not to pop until after he's back, LOL. I do wish we could all have managed that coffee morning before the LO's arrive, will have to be after now! :)

Oh great to hear from you meals glad Jackson is doing well ! How are you feeling ? Not as run down as before , Hope you've got a bit of energy now you are not commuting to and from hospital. The 3 hour feeds will make a difference, not that I'd know my DS used to feed every 2 hours ! Mind you he still would eat every two hours and he's eight ! I'm not doing that with this one that's for sure ! Fingers crossed I squeeze him into January, literally ! ;)

:D Great news Dollymud!!! Fingers crossed... you might even cross over into the January due date thread!!! Won't be long before you're all cuddling your gorgeous little bundles! Jackson is going well - we've hit 2kgs now... not long till his due date and I can start extending his feeds out past 3 hours and feel more human!

Hello mamas! I'm going to bump up the Breastfeeding Support in the UAE thread in case you find it helpful. If you have breastfeeding questions either before or after the birth of your little ones, please do get in touch with one of the contacts listed. Best wishes for your upcoming births! xx

Hi Feb Mums, Hope everyone is keeping well and managing to get enough rest as the end get near. 5 weeks for me (and counting) though head is engaged already and according to consultant everything is 'favourable', packed hospital bag on the back of that but know my luck I'll still be pregnant in March :o) I'd be interested in a coffee morning/meet up, am in Ranches but happy to drive, my LO is at school in the mornings so I have plenty of free time. Sx

Hi BFC, That sounds great, will definitely try to come to the Q&A session on the 15th. I'd also be interested in seeing the newsletter. Unfortunately I can't seem to get rid of the super-annoying advert to the right of my screen whenever I'm on EW and it's blocking your email address. Mine is [email protected], would you be able to email me a copy? Thanks in advance and look forward to hopefully meeting you at the Q&A.

Hello Reidly and all you other lovely mamas! If you're still concerned about breastfeeding (or even if you're not!), you might like to drop by the Breastfeeding Q&A meet-up at noon on Sat 15th Jan at Dubai Mall Organic Cafe. Information about getting breastfeeding off to a good start (and where to get help after the birth if you should need it) will be available, and a registered breastfeeding counsellor available to answer any queries. It's usually quite a small meet-up, so not intimidating, just the opportunity to chat to other breastfeeding mamas and a counsellor. Also, I can send you a copy of the last BFQA newsletter, which focussed on starting breastfeeding - if anyone would like a copy, just e-mail me on khoury at null dot net.

Has anyone had any luck with bra-fitting/shopping for nursing bras? I went to M&S today to try being fitted and the woman there told me I was a 36B, I consider this highly unlikely as currently in John Lewis 32F and was a DD prior to pregnancy!! The 32F bra still fits sort of but I have heard your boobs get massive once breast-feeding and don't really want to have to guess my size! I will go for a 32F and order online if I have to... but if anyone has had any positive bra-fitting experiences would be good to hear them! No doubt it's the hormones but the total lack of good customer service in M&S today really annoyed me!!

Hi ladies - I'm a bit late joining this thread (haven't been around EW very long) but am also expecting a February baby - due on 2/2. Hoping it will be a January baby for us but just trying to be patient. Four weeks to go and I'm feeling huge. I have a daughter who is 22 months craving so much more attention these days, makes me very nervous about having two! Would love to join in on any coffee meetings - megbozz@ gmail.com

That's so funny, I had my 34 week scan with Dr. Nataliya this morning too! She was on good form I thought, though super busy as usual. Definitely looking forward to meeting up! Take care of yourself and hope the acupuncture works :)

Will keep you posted Reidly! I had my 39 week check with Dr. Nataliya this morning. She doesn't want me going over my due date since I'm having so much trouble with my sciatica / hip pains etc. So I'm booked in with my acupuncturist on Sunday to get things moving!! I've emailed Sapphire99 and will send you an email as well. Hoping we can all meet up soon :-)

Hey Jeniawwad Same thing happened to my friend with her first and is totally fine apparently! I would love a sign that mine are getting ready for milk production! I am definitely up for coffee, either before or after the birth (still got 6 weeks to go) so please, anyone that wants to meet do let me know. I'm on [email protected]. I also went to one of the Bumps and Babes meetings and had a similar experience Sapphire99 so would be nice to have a few of us go, less intimidating! Also I wasn't very pregnant at the time, only 19 weeks I think, and found most of the ladies were either heavily pregnant or had very new LO's. Hope everyone is well. Good luck with everything 2Blossom, am interested to know how you get on as we have the same OB and are checked into the same hospital, sure all will go smoothly! :)

Hiya. This is very random but.... My left boob is now leaking milk/colstrom or something of that sort. Still not due for another 4 1/2 weeks or so. This hasn't happened with any of my other pregnancies. I'm not concerned enough to actually go to the doctor yet, but is this normal? Has this happened to anyone else. eeekkk!

2Blossom ... I'm in the same boat as you where my friends don't have babies and I want to meet up with mums with young babies. DS is now 8 weeks old so would like to get him out meeting other babies. I did go to one of the coffee mornings when I was pregnant but found most people were already in groups and it was hard to break in to them! If you want to meet up when your LO with born, drop me a line sapphire99 @ hotmail.com.au Maybe we can get a few of the new mums together. Good luck with the birth :)

I'd love to meet up for coffee too so please count me in! I'm due next week (sorry, I also pop in from the January thread ;-) ) Don't have any friends here with LO's and once DS arrives I would love to get out and meet other Mums & their LO's. If any of you are attending the Bumps & Babes please do let me know as I'd love to go - just a tad bit shy :-)

Thanks very much for the hints on what to take and for the reassurance on the breast-feeding which has made me feel more confident! Our antenatal classes were with Karen too, but finished later than yours 2Blossom so couldn't have been in the same class. It is nice to meet you all on here and I regret not getting stuck into this thread earlier now. I understand that a lot of you already have kids (or are on bed rest bless you!) but just wondered if anyone fancied meeting up for a coffee (decaf of course!) at one of the malls in these last few weeks. Am not working at the moment and am sooo bored. Would be nice to have a natter and useful to compare notes maybe as we are at similar stages? ;)

Hi ladies I am due at begining of March, but I might deliver early. I will have 32 weeks on Sunday. I am scared and excited at the same time. This is my first baby. They usual have a lot of thing on the hospital: pampers, wipes, sudocream, baby lotion(usually they have Johnson and Johnson if you want to use that), pads, shampoo, soap, towels, baby sleepsuit, materinity hospital dress.... It is up to you what you want to use from the hospital. Nice to meet you all.

Not sure if we were in the same antenatal class Reidly. We did ours with Karen and had our last class on 4th of December. I brought my PJ's from Oshoya (spelling?) Didn't find anything I liked in Destination Maternity, but there was some ok stuff in Mothercare. I have no idea if I've packed everything I need - fingers crossed!
