Here is a message from City Hospital "DHCC posted the wrong information about her on their website , she s a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecology not a fellow of the Edinburgh College nor of the Royal College of Surgeons as mentioned on the DHCC website ( here ‘s the link http://www.dhcc.ae/specialist/638/Shaikh-Azizunnisa/) . Please note that our HR got in touch with DHCC and asked them to make the necessary changes"

If you're not confortable with the c-section, just refuse. She can't oblige you to accept, it's your body and your baby. I don't understand these doctors who decide early in the pregnancy that they will practice c-section. Maybe, you can check how many c-sections are done in this hospital and compare with other hospitals. In my country, there are official statistics and if you analyze these statistics, you can notice that c-sections are mostly practiced in private hospitals whereas public hospitals are usually in charge of risky pregnancies. The explanation: money, money and money. hey everyone. im also seeing dr aziz, met her for the 1st time last week...im 30weeks pregnant with identical twins...shes ok i think, seems to know her stuff and has a lot of experience from the way she talks...and apparently she used to work in the same hospital in the uk were my previous 2 childern where born..and infact even i was born!!! lol... but i have slight concern coz im expecting twins she sounds more certain that i will require a C-section coz in my case there identical and share a placenta so its high risk for me...but ive read up on many other women having there twins through normal birth...at around 36weeks...she says that its likely they will give me a c-section and set a date for me around 34-35 weeks...i hope this isnt just a money making sceam... ...dosnt anyone have experience with her so far???

I had my first appointment with her as well and found her to be ok, i suppose there isn't much choice at City so for me she will have to suffice.

Hmmmm - maybe call City and ask for her full profile? They could easily have got her gender wrong on the site.

Good point DubaiCat, unfortunately when I was looking for info about dr azizunnisa (about 1 month ago) the DHCC website was the [b'>only [/b'> thing I could find with her name... and I thought they just got her gender wrong, rather than the whole thing. Now City Hospital has her full profile, which should have precise information.

That website also says the doctor is male, though...

Hi girls, Just for your information, I have contacted the royal college of surgeons of edinburgh and they could not locate dr azizunnisa in their files. I have copied and pasted their response below. Perhaps next time you visit her, you can ask her if she had a change of name or if she has any other names so that you can obtain a bit more information about her. " This has got me a bit confused as when I checked up her background there was no mention of Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Her background prior to City Hospital is: She obtained her medical graduation degree from Pakistan in 1982 and joined the Pakistan Army for 2 years as a medical practitioner. She did her MCPS from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan in 1989. She moved to the UK in 1992 and worked in many hospitals in London such as Whipps Cross, Homerton Hospital, West Middlesex Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital and Adinbrooks Hospital Cambridge. She did her MRCOG in 1998 from RCOG London. She also completed her CCST in Feb 2006. She is a member of British Foetal Medicine Society and also a member of the RCOG reference committee of UAE. We are posting about the same lady : Azizunnisa Shaikh, Dr. Sorry but could you advise if it is the same person as I have put, and where did you get the info about her being a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Sorry but I am due to have her deliver my baby (3rd doctor I have been moved to due to others leaving) and I want to be sure before I start worrying..... Thanks Hi Cap1tal, I originally found this info: http://www.dhcc.ae/specialist/638/Shaikh-Azizunnisa/ hence I checked with the RCSE. Sorry if I have made matters worse, I just wanted to share what I found (or not found in this case)... Perhaps it is a different doctor altogether? or maybe the info on DHCC is incorrect? sorry if I have confused you, I just meant to help finding out more information about her.

pixiesuae - sorry to hear that....I've never had any issues with the staff at Primavera...they have been wonderful and have always been great with any issues I've had, even when I've called the emergency line in the middle of the night. I also never have to wait more than 15 mins for an appointment. What happened to you and did you pass the feedback to Dr Sant - I'm sure she would appreciate it. [b'>pixiesuae replied : I have found Primavera clinic to be the most unprofessional in Dubai, Dr Sant is lovely but the staff are terrible. I am not sure if Dr Sant was aware of my situation and choose not to take a few minutes to make a phone call to reassure me or if her staff never inform her of problems but I would never recommend them to someone who needs a reliable doctor after my experience[/b'>

Ladies, could you recommend a very good gynaecologist at City Hospital? I am 5 months pregnant, changed 2 doctors so far and finally had a couple of appointments with Dr. Yulia....unfortunatelly she is leaving. Can anyone recommend someone else? I know Dr. Elsa is very busy and have not been able to get an appointment with her until July.... Thank you

Good morning, I am 4 months pregnant and have decided to deliver at City Hospital. I still need to choose an OBGYN and have heard great things about Dr. Ekatrina but I've also heard she's leaving. Dr. Elsa has also come recommended but I can't get an appointment with her until July or August. Apparently they have a new OBGYN, Dr. Aziz. Does anyone have any feedback on her? I really want to use City but maybe I'd be better off going to an outside practice of someone who I could get in to see earlier. Anyone else done this? Can you recommend someone? I will only see a female doctor. Thanks

I personally have decided to see another doctor who I can find feedback about, but I hope the information and contact name below is useful for those already seeing dr azizunnisa or those that are considering seeing her. "I cannot find a Fellow or Member with the names as given. If you wish me to check further I would require details of the full names, which examination he/she was successful in and when he/she was elected. The date of birth would also be helpful. Hi kts, you are so right!!! I honestly searched EVERYWHERE and all I could find is that she claims to be a fellow of the Edinburgh College of Surgeons. BUT, I could not find her on their website (pehaps she got married and changed her last name)? I am really unsure about her as well... if at least I had found bad reviews it was something, but she seems to have appeared out of nowhere straight to deliver our babies???? (Am I being paranoid?)

I could also do with some feedback about Dr Aziz. I have just booked my first appointment with her in 2 weeks time. This is my first baby and I really want to be with someone who I feel comfortable with. Tried to book an appointment with Dr Elsa as I have heard fab things about her but she is fully booked until July! Do I presume that as nobody has really provided much feedback on here about Dr Aziz that she is not that great? Arrrrggghhhh somebody help!!! Who should I go with? There is so much choice!

Hi all, I am also on the same boat, was seeing someone at Dubai Mall Clinic, she left; then booked an appoitment to see Dr Yulia at City, she is now leaving too. So they offered me Dr Azizunnisa (which I assume is the same dr?). I really want to deliver at city as well so would appreciate if anyone has had any deliveries with Dr Aziz to share their experiences with us??? I will try to search AbuDhabi sites as apparently she used to work over there, if I find anything, I include here ;) edited by denysee1 on 06/04/2011

I'm at city hospital (with dr Elsa) and am surprised you have to go in every month especially with your 2nd. I've been going every 6-8 weeks. Am in my 3rd trimester so possibly may see appointments increase but I don't think there is a specific rule the hospital has about frequency of appts.

I have seen her once and will be continuing with her for the remainder of my pregnancy. I inherited her by default as my previous doc left City and she was the only one who had space to take over my pregnancy if I wanted to deliver at City. I couldn't be bothered to change hospitals so just went with her. She is ok, nice enough manner, reasonable english (if you want to know), but I have no experience as to how she is under pressure or delivering as I have had not had any complications in my pregnancy (touch wood) and it is my second so I don't really have any questions for her. I go into see her on my appointment, do weight and blood pressure, do ultra scan and go home. The only thing I did have an issue with, and this may be the hospital policy, not the doctors, was I wanted to reduce the frequency of my appointments from one a month to every 2 months ( I am 4 and a half months pregnant) and was told that I could not do this. I didn't push the request but I'd be interested to know if anyone else has managed to reduce the frequency of going to the hospital for maternity apointments?
