I am in this crazy place right now where DH and I are trying to decide if we want a baby!!!!! I feel like the clock is ticking and we need a final decision here...

I am 38 (and 8 mths) and I feel I am too old. I seriously do not want to be in my 50's with a teenager! Just saying! :)
I want to be retiring at that age and buying a villa somewhere not buying a "first car" and paying for Uni! I honestly do not think that DH has thought this through!

Anyway - I see lot's of women with babies here that look a heck of a lot older than me so I am just wondering, how old is too old? I've read about all of the risks and how they increase every minute when you're old like me so it is all stressing me out!

I realise I should be seeking medical advice but en'shalla is not exactly a medical term if you know what I mean.

Please, I need input!

It's never too old. I was 38 when I fell pregnant. i don't think having one child changes your life too much. Have to say after breastfeeding everything for me has gone down South but nothing that a nip and tuck won't cure!

One of my friends has two children 2 and 6months and she is 40. She is glad she waited this long as she had a career and a life before having children, still getting on with her career now and loving having kids. Thought she wasnt maternal but all kicked in she has said. Just talk to DH about all your fears and concerns and really make him listen this is such a HUGE decision. Xx

I was feeling similar to you, although I was (am) 34, but I always thought I would regret it. I got pregnant the first time we tried and now I am 4 months pregnant, we are very happy about it, and I think it was the right and best decision, my husband even got so excited about the first ultrasound that he mention he "wanted lots of children" (it wont happen though) when he was the most reluctant to have......I think it is a great experience and hard to regret!

If you are 50 and have no children, will you regret it? This is what my DH says and who can know? I'd rather regret not having one that regret having one!!! :) Sorry, trying to be funny :)

Age is relative.....after you have the baby you will be super tired no matter how old you are. The most important question is do you WANT a baby or do you feel it is something you should just do? If you are 50 and have no children, will you regret it?
