I have a jumperoo which I am no longer using. I will sell it if you are interested leave your email and I'll get in touch. I used the jumperoo for both my children and they reached all developmental milestones on time and in the case if my son ahead if time. He was crawling at 5 months and is almost walking at 9 months. I couldn't imagine a baby being happy in it for a great length if time... There will always be negative and positive about everything!!!!

Every child is different and I wouldn't pay too much attention to 'empirical evidence' my little girl loved hers.. She was in it every day. She was born 6weeks premature yet walked at 10months and at 11months she was running around unaided. .. She is now 20months and IMO she is quite advanced for her age group -not taking into account that as a premie we were told she COULD be slow developmentally.. So I would say if you want a jumperoo and you LO likes to be in one then Defo get them. Try ToysRUs on SZR, mother care -and if you're not too precious about things being 'new' then try dubizzle. :) HTH

I have used the fisher price jumperoo and my babies love it. I agree that babies shouldn't be in them for long periods of time but for short periods of fun time its great. I ordered mine from mumzworld and they delivered it quickly to my house.

"The empirical research on such devices has repeatedly shown that children who are put in them tend to meet developmental milestones at a significantly slower rate than children who are not put in them. Basically, such devices are crutches that delay development, because children are not using the appropriate muscles for support. Gross motor development works from head to toe, meaning that the muscles up top have to be strong before the lower ones will develop well. When the child is placed in a jumperoo type device, s/he isn't forced to use the appropriate muscles, so it takes longer for the child to develop. If a child isn't sitting up on his/her own or able to get into the crawl position, s/he would probably benefit from more tummy time and trunk/arm strengthening exercises than an upright position." What about other activity toys which are more safe for baby?Also i don't know how old is your LO, but make sure they toy is safe for her development.
