Ok....This is weird. 7 Weeks with nausea all day long but cant ever get to the point of actually letting it all go. Its a bit frustrating. Feels kinda like persistent hangover nausea... I guess I'm a pro at that one.

I have tried crackers before getting out of bed, ginger ale, ginger tea, toast, watermelon, pretty much everything. nothing is helping. any other suggestions? this is miserable.. :( Is actually making it come up going to make it better?

Well it'll be a long wait to find out - another seven months! :D. I have been thinking that, though. No sore boobs, my skin's reasonably OK, no barfing, so nothing like my first pregnancy so far! Although a friend did tell me the other day she has a sister and her mum had totally different pregnancies with the two of them. We should start a book ;).

Ooh DC, it sounds like you might be having a girl! That's exactly what I was like first and second time too...

Chucking up made no difference whatsoever to me first time round. I had 24/7 nausea and started barfing early evening, and I never felt any better. This time I've got the nausea but no upchucking. I hate feeling like I'm permanently hung over when I never even got a decent night out to warrant it! Sadly for my pre-baby figure, the only thing that helps me is eating. Last time it was fries, cheese sticks, fries, more fries and the odd chicken nugget or burger. This time so far it's fruit - fingers crossed this lasts! Hope you feel better soon. But in the meantime, just use it as a great excuse to put your feet up and do s0d all.

Thanks Ladies. Imolinar - hope all is well and you feel better soon. I'll do the search and see what I find.

I'm sorry for you. :( Actually vomiting won't make the nausea any better I don't think. I wasn't ever actually sick either. I found that eating often helped (and I still haven't moved on from that approach even though my I'm well past pregnancy!). I know it's really hard but just try to remember that it will be better soon and your beautiful baby will make it all worth while. edited by BrownEyedGirl on 24/04/2011

No, it is not weird, it is very normal. Better not to force yourself to vomit as you may not be able to stop . It is not the type of nausea you may be used to. Do a search, this has been discussed a lot. I am 20 weeks now, and it went away at around 14 weeks, now since 2 days ago the nauseas seem to be coming back. :(
